Galbraith was a disciple of John Maynard Keynes and a supporter of Franklin D. After spending a year at Cambridge University he became an assistant professor of economics at Princeton University. ![]() In 1934 Galbraith began teaching economics at Harvard University. He took a MA in 1932 from the University of California at Berkeley and two years later a PhD in economics. He graduated with a BSc from Ontario Agricultural College (now part of the University of Guelph) in 1931.
